Pocahontas Tenn Jan the 20th Dear Mother I thought I would write you a few lines as I have been writing to all the rest of the family. We are all well as usual and hope these few lines may find you all the same. I am in good health now and feel like another Chap. I am getting fat as a hog well the rest of the boys are all well but Isaiah he is sick this morning but I think he will be well enough against might he has the sick head ache. We are looking for a fight along this road some place old Forrest keeps handing around here for some purpose and I think he will get decently flogged if he don't make a retreat which he is famous for.
