May the 1st Camp Tadpole Mississippi Dear father and mother and the ballance of __ I now take the opportunity of writing a few lines to let you know that we are still in the land and among soldiers alive and well and hope these few lines will find you the same. We have moved our camp into another state as you see the above. We was one day and part of a night doing it and it is only _ miles the road was so bad.
