Feb 13. 1945 Some place in England: Dear Dave. Received your letter of Nov17 1944 to-day so you see how the mail is now. but I have been on the move up to a certain time and it takes a longtime to catch up. Dave If you had of told me I would have been over hear and thro all these dam places a year ago I would not have believed it. I was in the twenty eighth division infantry our outfit started at St Lo France it is the most bomb and ruined place you could imagine they marched thru Paris on liberation day. I have been thru Belgium Holland Luxemburg and Germany. the last place I was at in Germany was a place named after O. E. you know who use to be secretary at the Y. I guess he still is. the outfit is the first infantry outfit into Germany
