Saving...
The last two weeks are really hectic. We completely plan four projects, putting on real programs for real service men. We have to plan an elaborate luncheon or banquet, do master of ceremonies work & present the whole program. There is also a night of recreational games to plan. You can see why, if I am a bit sketchy on my correspondence. The last Friday we have only 1/2 hour for lunch and 2 hours for dinner in a program going from 9 in the morning to 12 at night. The next morning we have three classes & then put on our final luncheon. Do you wonder that I think a person would feel better equipped after this? The other girls are swell, and I'm making lots of friends. Jo is leaving tomorrow for St. Louis & I'm sending a note to Fran by her. I'll probably get a new trainee Monday as a roommate. Peggy Cobb came in tonight to play yap & African Golf with me & we are going to play badminton tomorrow. We had an hour's blackout & alert last night, from 12 to 1 & had to get up & sit in the hall. Love, Helen
