Page 2 a wonderful ice stadium and a big Bob Sled Run [(Babbalon)?]. The highest mountain in Germany is at our back doorstep. The name is Zugspitz There is a beautiful hotel on top of it that is used by 3rd Army Special Service for ski instruction. There's also a radio station exactly on the highest place on the Zugspitz. The Nazis built it there as a radio & weather station combined. Incidentally, this town was never bombed, strafed, shelled or had any damage what-soever did to it. They pulled into this town about 3 days before the war ended. The sun is very bright today. The top of the Zugspitz is covered with clouds. That means we'll have some more snow soon. There is an electrical railway that runs to the Zugspitz. It is a remarkable feat of engineering. It has cogwheels practically all the way up and there is a tunnel through a glacier about
