Page 3 2 kilometers or a mile and a half long. It comes out in the cellar of the hotel. This is the best place in the ETO or at least in Germany. We have a big Nazi - built officer's club for an Enlisted Men's Club and it is a very nice joint. It has a swell bar and a beautiful dance floor. We have a big Red Cross Club here and a movie every night & matinee on Sundays & Wednesdays. We also have a beautiful NCO's club. It isn't big but it's nice. The building the Red Cross is in is a big theater in which all USO shows are held. We have had some pretty good ones here. Say, you say the basketball teams, and football aren't doing so hot, huh? I'm sure proud of this 71st infantry Division. They have went to the top in baseball, football, and are one game behind for tying the basketball league so far. (over)
