San Antonio Feb. 1st [1946] Dear Dave: My turn has finally arraived to say those famous last words---"you can take me off the Scuttlebutt list as I'm about to become a civilian again" Its a wonderful feeling--went into San Antonio yesterday and bought a light brown gaberdine suit. Felt plenty good after wearing this monkey suit for so long. Be seeing you Jim [S/Sgt. Ja. Schmoeller]
