Hi Dave,
Sorry I haven't written but haven't had much time yesterday and today was the first time I had been able to write and I feel I should to thank you for sending the Drip (55) it sure sweet of you. The news in it some times hurt but I'm sure the end is almost here.
Dave I've been getting the Journals right along in spite of them being 2 or 3 months old. But what I am worried about now is how much do I owe you? Please let me know and I'll include a money order for you in my following letter.
Will you please put Dan [Kiesey?] on The Scuttlebut List? I'm sure he'll enjoy it.   His address is

I believe he is still in Italy. I'm not positive. Now you please do me a favor and ask me to send you something as a suvenir. Any thing would you like a German Rifle, Shot Gun, an old old [ancient?] gun I'd like to send you a pistol but these won't pass. I've got 3 pistols but some times I wonder if I'll get them home myself, if and when I come home.
