in the afternoon the weather is mild & foggy at night the fog is so thick we tie up oposite the mouth of the little Miami river & lay all night 22nd at 10 A M the fog lifts & we start on our way up the river arrive at the levy in Cincinnati at 3 1/2 P.M. lay untill after dark then go ashore & to the Hamilton & Dayton Depot take the cars 23rd about 3 A.M. start about noon are in Dayton at night pass through
