burned the principal manufactories, the weather is so warm that a shade is desirable, fruit trees are beginning to blossom & some are in full bloom the people are making gardens, have seen some pea vines about 5 inches high March 29th high winds & heavy rain accompanied with some thunder, I helped bury some dead soldiers " 30th in the evening went to a dance had the pleasure of dancing with the fair maidens of the Sunny South
