June 1865 13th a fellow by the name of Mason (a native of Canada, & a big bounty man) was drumed out of the service in the presence of the Brig. for cowardice & desertion, he belonged to Co F 23rd Mich. 16th our muster out rolls came officers busy filling them out 17th had green cucumbers for dinner at night stayed in the country 18th on camp guard we have four roll calls per day drill each morning dress parade every evening
