Saving...
in. This is laundry day again, must get mine ready to go. Last week I just got there with it in a nick of time. In fact it was late but I'm a pretty good friend of the personnel supply man and he took it in anyway. I surely like war news weve been getting lately, of course it may be awhile yet but with revolts etc within a country seems a good sign of weakening. I'm mad, I got my P.X. rations last night put my candy under my bed in an open box and one of these darn pups the camp has adopted got in and ate & tore up most of it. Should have eaten it all at once I guess, that's one time it didn't pay to save it and make it last a long time. We have those little whirlwinds here like we did down in Tucson gather up dust, straw, papers etc and carry them up in the air several hundred feet and then just dwindle out. Almost all our ships have pictures painted on the sides and everyone goes by a name rather than just numbers. I'm sure Grandma wouldn't approve of mine if she thought the Rhude girls in their sun suits were risqué. I've some pictures taken of it and if they will pass the censor I'll send some home soon. The chow truck will soon be here so I'll close. Just got my mail with a letter from Bob in it. He is somewhere over here near me and says he will see me soon. Im quite excited about it. Love Johnny
