will be rid of them for a while. Last Sunday I was on guard but was picked for orderly. So I didn't have to do much Monday. Just run a few errands for the sgt-Major. Then Tuesday we (the Iowa troops about 10,000 in all) passed in review before Lieut.-Governor Moore from Iowa. Tuesday afternoon we drilled, also Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon is always off for athletics but I spent my time in washing.
