not a fellow in camp (in our Battalion) but who wishes it was us instead. I guess Kay Plecker is going to get a discharge and go home. He has tuberculosis of the lungs. I think I coud diagnose his case better as simply homesickness. And he sure has a bad attack of that or else I am awfully mistaken. I kind of believe he's married. For one night he came out of the jewelry store at Lone Tree with a small square package. We wanted to know what was in it but he wouldn't tell. Finally he said there was $47.00 wrapped up in there. So one night recently a bunch of us fellows were talking about rings Ray Muller said he had a $6.00 one at home and Kay said he had one that cost 47 bucks. Thats what makes me think he's married Well I can't think of any more to write now so will close till tomorrow night. Wed evening. Today was a holiday - being set apart for Liberty Loan day. In the morning we assembled and marched, with the other companies, over to a Y.M.C.A. where there were seats outside enuf for all of us. Verne Marshall who spent six months as an ambulance driver in France at the front talked to us for thirty minutes. It surely was interesting. Then a Rev. Mr. Somebody
