Saving...
November 19, 1944 Dear Mother, The mail is certainly spotty these days. I got forty-nine of yours, the one enclosing Prof Bushes, but that seems to be the only one for days. A nice letter, wasn't it? Your concoction of heather for Betty's locket sounds nice. I think she'll like it. Yes, the etchings are on the way and should practically be there by now. I mailed them in London almost three weeks ago. There is one for the Schrams. They are all labeled, either in fine pencil on the back or by slip of paper. I do hope they won't get mixed up, for I'd never know where they went again. I haven't found a thing for Min or Jap. Better make what you have from both of us. All toilet things are non-existent, and it the same with clothing of any kind. I think there is an etching for Marg in the package, also Claro, Roberta, and several others, including you. Jay and I take care of the rabbit tomorrow and the next day, as Nellie will be gone. He is the sweetest thing and so smart. He has almost doubled in size since one of the boys caught him about two weeks ago. He comes when called uses his box, licks people's hands
