for the first time since we have been over here and we don't need any candles burning in the daytime as we did in our former billets which were barns and poorly lighted. Well I suppose you are very glad the war is over. So am I but I'll always regret that I did not get to help do my share. I wish you could get my letters sooner and wish I could get some mail once more too. But we have been moving around so much lately that I expect it will be some time before it catches up with us. This is the first afternoon off we have had for some time and we all appreciate it very much Especially after that hike over the hills as we had this morning.
