I think you can find that on the map if you cant you can find Dannamarie and we were only about four miles from that. Our Co was held in Hagenbeck for reserve and were sent to the trenches to relieve Co I and were only in the trenches two days when we were relived by the French. I was stationed at the telephone Dug out as a runner and had it fairly easy compared to what some of the rest had. The morning before we went into the trenches the Germans put over a barrage and a raiding party came over but they got hell shot out of them and beat it back leaving a few behind. they sent over a few shells on us but otherwise left us alone. but the morning after we left they put over another
