Oct 21, 1884 Dear Sidney I have received two letters from you since i wrote the last one i hope you will excuse me for waiting so long but i have not had much time two write nor i have not been to Fairbank to mail one Pa is fixing the house so i have had to help mother but it is better to write late than never i have not got ready to work out yet i dont know whether to work for your mother or not i thought if i worked for her we would have a better chance to see each other when you come home for i dont know how we can see one another without my folks knowing it i dont want them to know anything about my Intentions, and i dont know how we
