be better off without me than you will be with me by the time this letter reaches you i will have left home to try to take care of my self i am going to work out to try to learn womans work i have learnt farming long enough Mr jolley i wish you good luck on your journey and i know you will find a better half than i can make you i am sorry to say you no but it is all for the best i have felt worried since i got your first letter because i knew i could not make you the wife you deserve i hope you will go to Neb and get you a good home and a good wife for you deserve one do not write to me any more upon that subject please do not write to Fairbank anymore for i will not be here to receive it Good by and Good luck and may God Bless you Mary E.
