Ocotober [date?] 1866 Dear Son I received your kind letter your on the 20 and was glad in hearing from you I wanted for Marry + Albert to see the [come?] Last Sunday the tell me the Country is not so bad as the expect find it but they think you dont make mutch progress in going through the world [you or?] working for others when the same time you ought work on the farm My good boy you must Break up your [day? dary?] or you must sell out, if i had a change to sell out for 12 hundred I wood Sell and go out on [Denver?] Creek in Colorado where [Cidin Hallett?] is going he has took up three 4 of Section Land nice and [illegible] you ar in Debt $1025
