Soda Cake. 1/2 Pint of Butter, 1 lb and 1/2 of Flour, 3/4 lb of Currants, 1 lb Moist sugar, 4 Eggs, 1 Nutmeg, 1 tea-spoonful and half of carbonate of Soda and a 1/4 pint of Milk, the soda and Milk to be added just before going to the oven. Susan Gilbert. * Leamon Cream. 1 Pint of cream, 1 lb of loaf Sugar, the juice of 3 lemons, boil the cream and sugar together, squeeze the juice into a basin, cut the peel off thin and put to the juice, pour the cream on boiling hot, stir it all the time. Sponge Cake 1/4 lb of dried Flour 1/4 lb of powdered loaf Sugar 4 Eggs beat it with a whisk 20 Minutes. Susan Gilbert *
