Syllabub 1 Pint of Cream, add to it 1/2pint of sweet Wine, and the juice of 2 lemons, with 6 oz of loaf sugar, and a piece of lemon peel if you like it, whisk it well for 1/2 an hour it will then be fit for your glasses. Pound Cake 1/2 lb of Flour 1/2 lb of Butter worked to a Cream 1/2 lb powdered loaf sugar 6 Eggs, leaving out half the whites 1/2 lb of Currants. Susan Gilbert *.
