Strawberry Nectar. 1 lb Strawberrys, 1 lb loaf Sugar, boil it in 1 pint of water, and take off the scum, strain through muslin, add 2 oz Tartaric Acid. Direction how to use it? To 3 Tablespoonsful of the above add 1/2 pint of cold water and efferness with the Cartionate of Soda. Morgan. Indian Pickle. Mustard 8 oz mustard seed 2 oz. Cayenne Pepper 1/2 oz, Black Pepper 1 oz. Turmeric 1 oz. Vinegar 2 Pints. Boil altogether except the powdered mustard, stir well. The Vegetables are to be laid 24 hours in salt, dried, put in what you like. It is fit for use in 6 or 7 weeks. Polly. Almond CheeseCake 2 oz Almonds, beaten with 1/2 lb Sugar (loaf) 3 Eggs, the peel of 1 Lemon grated & half the juice
