"Rock Cake. lb 1/2 of butter. 3/4 of Currants. 3/4 of flour. 1/2 of white sugar. 2 eggs well beaten a few bits of candid lemon paper the sheat but do not put them into too hot an oven a teapot of brandy in an improvement. lb lb 1/2 of flour. 1/4 of butter, 1/2 brown sugar, 2 yellows & one white of an egg, roll it out & cut with a wine glass.
