Wine Jelly. "my own" 1 pt cold water. 1 pt boiling Do - 1 box Gelatine - 1 pt wine - 1 1/2 Lbs sugar - juice of 2 lemons another. Claras 3 boxes Gelatines (25¢ one) 1 qt wine - 2 qts water - 4 lemons - 3 cups sugar - 2 eggs. another. Do 2 oz. Isinglass - 1 pt cold water to stand 15 minutes - put into a preserve kettle with 3 pts water - 3 Lemons - 1 pt wine - 1 Lb sugar whites & shells of 5 eggs - Boil 5 minutes, then strain. another. Mrs R. 2 oz Gelatine - 2 1/2 pts water - 1/2 pt wine the rind of 2 lemons, juice of 3 - whites & shells of 3 eggs - 1/2 Lb white sugar put all together cold & stir until it boils strain thro' a bag into moulds & set to cool. another. Mrs R. 1 pt. water - 1 pt wine - 1 oz Gelatine stand 5 minutes to soften - 4 oz white sugar a small piece of cinnamon the peel of 1 Lemon juice of 2 - let it come to a boil stirring all the time - strain & set to cool.
