Cranberries [Mrs. Nye.] Wash your berries, weigh them and to each pound allow a pound of sugar. Dissolve the sugar in a very little water- say (about 1/2 pint of water to 1 lb sugar) and set it on the fire boil it 10 minutes stirring it well. Then put in berries and boil them slowly till they are quite soft and of a fine colour- put them warm in your glasses
