Cake Lemon. Mrs.Cleveland 3 cups sugar - 1 of butter - 1 of milk 4 of flour - 5 eggs - 1 teaspoon saleratus - grate the peal of 1 lemon & add the juice of the same -another- Mrs Thowp 2 1/2 cups sugar - 1 of butter - 5 eggs - 4 cups flour - 2 teaspoons C. tartar in the flour - 1 of soda in the milk - Juice & rind of a lemon - the sugar butter & yolks beaten together - the soda & cup of milk next - flour & C. tartar & lemon. -another- Mrs. Cliffords. 1 cup butter - 3 of sugar - 5 of flour 1 of milk - 6 eggs - 2 teaspoon pearlash - the peel & juice of 1 lemon. -another- Tallman 2 cups butter - 3 of sugar - 4 of flour 8 eggs - the juice of 1 Lemon grated rind of two - 1 wineglass wine - 1 nutmeg - 1 teaspoon soda.
