Clara Gibbs 1# sugar - 1 of dried & sifted flour 1/2 of butter - 8 eggs - 2 tablespoons lemon juice & white wine - 1# fruit - 1 nutmeg - 1 1/2# almonds blanched & powdered fine - or whole. Bethias. Mrs. R. 1# flour - 1# sugar - 1/2# Butter - 5 eggs 1 cup sour milk - 1 teaspoon saleratus "1 egg." Mary Tobey. 1 egg - 1 1/2 cups sugar (scant) - 2 1/2 cups flour - 1 of milk - 1 teaspoon soda - 2 of C. tartar - little salt - 1 tablespoon butter - nutmeg or essence of lemon. Sponge. Mrs Abm Barker Same weight of eggs and sugar to 1/2 the weight of flour - peal & juice of Lemon.
