Stewed Apples 1 lbs apples with 2 table spoonfuls brown sugar & a very little water. You may put in a few cloves or the ring of a lemon stew about half an hour Fish Soup 2 haddocks or half a skate. Skin one of the haddocks Put the trimmings & the other haddock cut in small piece in a pan on the fire covered with water. Add 2 onions or leeks a good bunch parsley pepper & salt Boil an hour & a half. Strain it & put it on the fire again with the skinned haddock
