The Republican and Evening Times Cedar Rapids, Iowa Luthen A. Brewer, Proprietor and Publisher Cedar Rapids, Iowa, May 19,1916 Conger Reynolds Iowa City, Iowa Dear Mr. Reynolds:- Have you anyone in the class who would like work during all or part of the summer vacation at the day state and telegraph desk on the Cedar Rapids Republican and Times? If I can find someone to take my place, I want to go home to Clinton for a vacation, and probably to move my home and my mother here. If you have anyone who will come when school is out, I will be glad to stay with them if they need anyone to show them the work for a few days. Also I wonder if it would be asking too such of you to furnish me a letter saying that I was in school last year and was a member of the class in journalism? Coming away as I did be-fore the close of school threw me out of my credits, but I would like to have such a letter to put with those I already have showing where I have worked. Thanking you advance for any favors, and for information about a substitute, I am, Respectfully, Ethel D. Henry
