June 4 = 16 Dear Boy We received your good letter a day or 2 ago and now on this beautiful Sabbath afternoon just after a good dinner I will answer We are having delightful weather and every thing looks good corn is coming on nicley I have plowed some of the corn some is 10 in high the small grains crop is "promising one potatoes fine straberries just coming on" Memorial Service passed off quite nicley had quite a good attendance on Both Services. Now in answer to what I thought of your trip I want to remind you that this is the most dangerous time to visit Parris that you could hit upon remember that the danger is not alone on the high seas but what you may encounter while there
