Saving...
he would come after all, when the time comes. I suppose father will not be quite so busy from now on, as he gets his corn laid by, and some hay made perhaps. He wants to sell all the horses except dear old Nigger, just as soon as he can spare them to save feed. Ernest thinks it costs just about as much to feed them as he gets out of their work. Well I must get to work bottling milk and doing other evening chores. Hope we will hear from you soon and that you are well and enjoying yourselves. We enjoyed your letter descriptive of your trip to New York, very much. I forgot to tell you that if you get me any gloves to get white and gray No 8 I would rather have them a little large than not large enough. My ink bottle is about empty which accounts for the not very neat appearance of this letter. This leaves us well. with all the love of my heart to my boy far over the sea. Your loving "Mumsie" Mrs. J.Q.A. Reynolds Dexter Iowa U.S.A.
