Please Give this to father Falmouth Va Christmas Eve Dec 25th 1862 Dear Father As I have been writing for Warren and now I have plenty of time I will write and let you know how we get along here to day. I am well and all of the boys are the same. Warren is with us to night and has stayed with me 3 or 4 night and we are goeing to have some good times. Warren has had the misfortune to lose tow of his fingers an the right hand so he will not be able to handel a musket any more if he were with us it would not hurt him as far as working on the cannon is concerned. Dewitt has been over here to and I have been over and seen them. Dewitt is not very well to day he has got the goiters. There is a good many boys in their co that I know, Abram Conterman, is pretty tired of soldiering and I dont know who aint their Regt is within about 1 mile of here they are quartering. The boys have all set to laughing so shall have to stop till they get through. All is quiet now so I will comence again. Lafayette is here he says he is waiting patiently to get some money to send to you. I have not received the
