night nor day for over 1 month in the warmest days of the seasons and that was not all we were bare footed and ragged and more to but the peopel of the North cried onward no rest no winter quarters Onward but we did not move till the 28th of Oct then our Army was not furnished with all they needed for a Winter campaign but our Army was never in better condition every thing went well till we got to Warington then old Abraham thought the war would be ended to quick so he removed McClellan and has been relieving ever since. now he has relieved Gen. Sumner one of our best Gen. We know him he has all ways com our Corps and been where we have seen him every day but we shall have to
