Monday we fell back as far as Bealton Station 4 miles from the river. There was some cavalry skirmishing on our rear all day Teausday We came back as far as Bristow Station there was some skirmishing but we fetched every thing along with us didn't even leave a hard bread. Thursday we came to Centerville all but the 2nd Corps they had a smart fight at Bristow Station where they took 450 prisoners and 6 rifel cannon besides a lot of prisoners that were wounded that they parolled on the field. Wensday night they crossed to this side of Bulls run at Mitchels & Blackburns fords and took up a position to defend the crossing. Thursday morning our battery wass
