June 19th Fairfax Court House Dear father yours of the 10th was duly received last night. It found us all well and in good health and very glad to here from you. We are camped in about 1 mile of the Court House on the Fairfax Station road. We left White Oak church last Saturday at 4 o'clock and marched untill 4 o'clock the nex morning and camped nere Stafford Court House. We unharnessed and lay down and got about one hours sleep and orders came to be on the move right off. We marched all day passed Dumfies about 2 o'clock and Halted a little while. Then started on and marched all night
