splendid time dining with colonels and generals and seeing the trenches. He talked with a lot of German prisoners who had just been taken. Without exception they were overjoyed to be captured. I send my love (paternal only) to all the girls, and right filial love to Mother Goody-goodie. You can tell 'em I'm as contented as a full pup-almost-and doing my damnest to become invaluable to General Pershing - whose office I pass several times a day. All my love always! Conger.
