I lived with them a year when I was a freshman in college and off and on when I was a newspaper man in Des Moines. They well nigh brung me up. A year or so ago they gave up their big home because Mary had been ill and didn't care to be burdened with supervision of it. You'll probably find them in unpretentious quarters in their little town shack or in the bungalow on the farm. In either place you'll have just as charming a time as you could want. They have a fine twenty-one year old son who will help you enjoy life. I've told him about you. And of course you'll get to know Jack Newman and the Mrs. while you're there. His mother is in a hospital with an attack of rheumatism, I hear. I hope she is back home by the
