Fifty April 11, 1918. Belovedest,- Howdy! Are you enjoying this sunny afternoon? I suppose you notice I'm couped in. But as I spent the whole morning skimming over the roads in a winton I shoulder otta kick. I was out with my Englishman showing him an interesting spot nearby. For days before the weather had been cold and rainy and generally narsty But this morning the sun came out bright and the breeze grew balmy. It was like living again to get out in it and see the bright green pastures and brown fresh-ploughed soil. Everybody who comes along exclaims at the beauty of the countryside here. Even the Britisher gave it several
