the time the chorus came into the public square singing,

{music staff: G eight note, C eight note, E half note}
(Gawd, it's a long time since I wrote music; I believe those notes are built wrong)
So lithesome and so gay 
We've just been out in the meadow
Raking cows and milking hay"
until the curtain went down on the ensemble with Gwendolyn in the arms of our brave young hero, who carried one arm in a sling because of the wound he received in the battle, and everybody sang
"Hurrah! Hurrah! The day is won,
and Jasper here will marry Gwendolyn,
Hurrah! Hurrah! Our bit is done
For the day is won; and it's been great fun,
And they'll marry and be happy
Fore-e-e-ver. Hurrah!!
Or was it like that? No? Oh, then excuse me Mis' Reynolds, ma'm. Anyway I liked it.  Really, I wish I could know your songs.
