We appreciate your mention of what to take abroad. 
Most of the officers are buying everything in sight, fearing those things unattainable there. 
Personally have not had a days rest on leave since I entered the service. Shall plan for 15 days if we are still here next month. Should like to see the North Star State again.
This is a holiday. Liberty Bond Day, by Pres. Wilson's proclamation. Our boys are having a great Base Ball game just outside the Hdq. Bldg. Their lung powers are very good and all, side lines players &c, are working the aforesaid powers overtime. Just now the Sanitary Train and its band are playing the Ammunition train. Some one must have just made a 3 bagger or better.
When time and opportunity come, write again. Every word is welcome news to us. Yes, we all hope it may come to pass that we shall go over and that it may be our pleasure to meet you in Noble France.
