and it is such fun. I wonder if you like such things. I think you must. Tell me: did you ever read the "Beth Book" by Sarah Grand? We have just finished it, and I have found it contains my ideas of the average Englishman, expressed as I never have been able to express them to anybody. The more I see of Englishmen, the more I love Americans. This is St. Patrick's Day. I should be using green ink instead of this pale stuff. I have sung two very lively ditties belonging to the Orangemen. If I can't decorate for one side, at least I can perform for the other.
