Saving...
8 best of care of myself. My grumbling about the difficulty of keeping warm, which I fear was all too prominent in early letters from France, was due chiefly to the stress of becoming acclimated. I get along well enough now. Even when the weather is much chillier than it has been the last few days. I promise - so you're bound to take to the "heavies." About the buying of linen over here. Strikes me that might be a brilliant thing to do. I don't know much about the stuff, but no doubt I could obtain the services of some better judge when I come to buy. Wouldn't it be wise for me to get other things too? How would it be for you to get up a list of things it might be well to get in France and I'll see what I can do and write you about them?
