May be have received some of the numerous pieces of mail we and the folks at Cedar Rapids have sent. Letters, papers. Julietta said she sent socks, wristlets, fruit cake and Martha was going to send you cookies or something of the kind. I thought to send stuffed dates as I always have but they would hardly be fit to eat by the time you got them if you ever did. You are a long way from home my dear boy but thank God the days are flying by and the day will come when you will again be in the loving arms of your own loved ones. Always your loving Mother
