the painter so you must excuse me. Mr. McChesney written me again. (Honest! That is good Missouri dialect. They say "I written" and "I taken," and all sech.) I am forwarding a letter he wrote to you. It has been a long time on it's way, according to Mr. Mc- etc. He said it was finally returned to him for repairs. He asks very kindly after you. I should think you'd write to your friends, since you haven't anything to do but have a good time, but that is the way with folks when they get away from their own home town for the first time. They forget them as rose 'em. I have gone to several movies lately. (Thrills) And with few exceptions they have been about men who went away
