You see, war isn't the nice calm thing over here that it is in the camps back home. Here it teaches a man to hate. But- out of it! Thank God (I say it reverently) your letters are coming frequently to keep my mind and heart filled with thoughts of home and you. Two more arrived last night. Both were postmarked March 1. And they were delicious love letters, my sweetheart, simply deelicious. One contains another reminder of the idea of your coming with the Sanborns. Honestly, if it were at all possible I should hold fast. You're a brave one, and I know you would go through anything with me. One reason I wanted you to be my Mrs. Reynolds was that I knew you'd always be game
