sophisticated and none too broad in her conception of things. I have never quite understood why her very clever husband fell in love with her after passing up many girls who might have been understanding mates more easily. But he did, and they are very happy together. Gladys is trying hard to be a real pal and a good wife. I admire her for the success she is having in spite of the natural barriers. I want to hear those verses to our Lake Harriet serenade. Please remember 'em until I come marching 'ome. Now I think I'll give you that kiss for which you've been holding your breath since March 1. Um-m-m. Good-night, dearest old girl. I'm going to dreamland to be with you. I know your wooly little head will be pillowed on my shoulder because I want it there enough to get it.
