Hotel Muelbach Whitmore Hotel Co. Baltimore Avenue and Twelfth Street Kansas City. Mo. March 29th 1918 Conger dearest, - This is the most interesting trip I've ever made to K.C. Everything is on a strike up here. No street car; no jitney; no heat; no cafe; no hot water; no shows; no nothin'!! I came up up here immediately from the train. Of course; (some kind hearted man brought me here in his car -- for a quarter each.) and all the way I was delighting in the prospects of a hot bath to take off the smoke & grime I fell heir to riding the "map"!
