I wish I didn't have to go back to Nevada. I wish I lived in a town where people were awake. I hate Missouri - and I love you, my dearest. And I am very hungry. There is not a baked sweet potato in town, but I can have chop suey tonight. The streetcars are running again, too, but still there is no hot water. France will hold no terrors for me. Please!!! Tonight I shall play that I am going to sleep with my head on your shoulder. And I'll dream about you, and kiss you - oh - thousands of times. I love you - love you - love you!! All yours - Daphne
