U.S. Army Fort George G. Meade, MD. [11-30-42] Sunday Dearest. Today was a rainy one stayed in most all day did a little washing and straightened out some things it was a dreary day so I slept some most of the fellows are gone some place just to get away. Havn't hear any more about my leave I don't know how it will come out yet I sure have my fingers crossed I did a lot of thinking today about the things we have did, not a single thought that is no good it is pleasant that things are that way with us I would hate to have the problems some of the other fellows have there has been nothing mean between us which is good If I come out of this war all right we will have a lot more pleasant times togeather no matter how tough things are
